Daisy loves to hunt for things out in the backyard. She hunts for bugs, creepy crawly things, her own shadow, cute little butterflies, and lizards. Cody? Not so much. He could care less. He just loves to sun bathe and be lazy. Although, he does tend to go nuts when there's hot air balloons in the sky up above, but how on Earth is he gonna catch those? So when I heard BOTH dogs running around making noises in the backyard, I thought it was kinda weird, so I decided to look outside to make sure everything was ok... And the minute I looked out the door, I saw something on Cody's back!!!

I couldn't believe my eyes!!! There was a lizard hitchin' a ride on Cody's back and he had no clue!!! hahahaha And there they were, going nuts, looking for Mr. Lizard- frantically poking their noses in this one bush that I guess the lizard was first spotted... I wish I could have seen how Mr. Lizard got on Cody's back in the first place... Oh Cody... You really are just looks, huh? hahahaha

I was wondering what all of the raucous was about going on in the backyard... And then I saw it... Cat!!! Up in the tree!!!

I thought it was quite funny at first, which is why I grabbed my phone to video tape the dogs going nuts over a cat (all the while, holding a baby in the other arm), until the cat started to climb down the tree... That's when common sense kicked in and I feared that someone was gonna get hurt- which is why you hear me calling for Cody and Daisy to go back in the house all stern... Of course, they didn't listen to me. But the cat got away, unharmed. :)

Daddy had to drive up to LA for work the other day, and ended up stopping at Three Dog Bakery in San Clemente... Well, not on purpose.. He made a Starbucks pitstop and saw the bakery next to it. I am SOOO jealous! The store owner had 6 huskies hanging out in the shop! If I had gone in that shop, I probably wouldn't have left! :) Here's a picture of one of the huskies...

Anyway, he went in and bought our kids some yummy cookies because they SOOOOO deserve special treats!

The last time the Bear and Daisy went to the beach was back in May, two days before I went into labor and popped out a baby. It was right before Memorial Day. The kids HATE it when Memorial Day comes, because that means they won't be able to run free at the beach until after Labor Day in September! They'd have to stay on the leash at Dog Beach in Del Mar all through the summer. Well kids... Fret no more! It is after Labor Day, and you guys deserve to run like the wind at the beach!

There are always tons of extra tennis balls lying around at the beach for the kids to play with. Here's Cody and Daisy going after the same ball!

Memorial Day Weekend Party Has Started!

What a way to start off the long weekend! And what a gorgeous day too! Cody Bear and Daisy partied hard at the beach today since this is the last weekend until after Labor Day weekend that they can run amuck around Del Mar Dog Beach off leash! After this weekend, all dogs need to be leashed up in order to play at Del Mar Dog Beach until September... That's no fun!

Cody was soooo thrilled to run around in the ocean and play with other dogs. He even played fetch a few times and this dog NEVER plays fetch! Must have been in a super good mood! :)

Of course anything Cody does, Daisy wants to do too! However, Daisy playing fetch didn't last too long since she doesn't like going too far into the ocean to fetch the tennis ball and getting her hair wet.

I had my baby shower yesterday, and not only did the baby get presents, but Cody and Daisy got a special something something too! Lucky duckies!!! (Cody and Daisy would like to thank the Cerritos Performing Arts Center haha). Meet Pete- the Platypus!! Of course Daisy had first dibs on Pete!

Daisy was taking Pete everywhere! Here she is, up on our bed with him... What a meanie.. She pushed him off and watched him fall!

No more Mr. Nice Guy... Cody coming in for the kill... He was tired of waiting his turn to play with Pete...

Rejected! Daisy stole Pete from Cody... Poor Cody... Here he is telling Daisy, "Give him to me or I'm telling Mom!"

Our very first 2-legged baby will be arriving this May/June and we've worked hard getting the nursery all pretty and comfy... Cody and Daisy have totally taken over this room hehe. I was wondering where these kids went, and low and behold, I turned on the nursery lights and there these fur-babies were... Hanging out in the baby's room!

Cody and Daisy got a LOT of exercise yesterday. We went on a 3 mile walk, and ended up at the park, where they got to play for another 45 minutes with their friends. We hadn't seen Bailey in about a month and a half. And my!!! She's all growns up (the darker golden retriever)!!! :)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Valentine's Day wouldn't be complete without a trip to the beach for the kids to enjoy. Only in Southern California will you find 70 degree, sunshiny weather in the middle of February in the States (ok, well maybe Hawaii too!). In the spirit of Valentine's Day, these two best friends stuck by each others' sides like glue! It's too cute to see how alike they are in every way! :)

The Best Stocking Stuffer Ever!

Merry Christmas!!! Cody got the "Furminator" brush in his stocking this year, and boy does he LOVE it! He didn't mind being brushed over and over and over with it. I can't believe the amount of fur that came out! Let's see if Mom has to vacuum the house in the next few days or if the Furminator did its job. :)

We just took our Christmas family portrait (which some of you lucky ones will soon receive in the mail), and I decided to take some cute pictures of the kids in their Christmas scarf attire (apparently all the doggie antlers have sold out in our neighborhood, so scarves it is!).
